The Admiralty Sailing Crew is two USCG Certified Captains with over 2 decades experience sailing and racing Santa Monica Bay and beyond.

Captain Stu is an enthusiastic, motivated instructor with over 1000 sea days above the water and over 300 dives below the water. (He is a semi-retired PADI Scuba Instructor).

His Maritime Experience ranges from skipper charters for Bluewater Sailing and Blue Pacific Boating in Marina Del Rey, to running a Dive Boat in the Virgin Islands, to crewing aboard the tall ships, Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington.

Captain Stu has owned Reliance for over 16 years and has logged over a thousand days of day sails and races aboard her.

In 2009, he completed an 18 day delivery as part of 4-man crew from Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii to Long Beach, CA aboard the Santa Cruz 50, Chasch Mer.

Together with Captain Shari, he raced the Lido 14, Indy, Hull Number 882 from January 2007 – April 2009 on over 60 races and performed all maintenance and repairs.

Since 2003, Captain Stu Coleman has worked as a Sailing instructor for Bluewater Sailing in Marina Del Rey teaching Basic Keelboat, Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Chartering aboard boats including: Soling 27, Catalina 22, Catalina 27, Catalina 30, Catalina 36

From 2001 to 2003, Captain Stu spent 90 days as foredeck/mast crew including 2 Newport to Ensenada Yacht Races and return deliveries aboard the Catalina 36 Silver Fox Sailing out of Shoreline Marina in Long Beach, CA

Captain Shari

Captain Shari is a USCG licensed 50-ton master, who has also completed STCW,  Lifeboatman and ASA Instructor certifications and is also a PADI Rescue Diver.
